Tony Penna's Extreme Karate
Karate is back at the Southington YMCA!
Tony Penna’s Extreme Karate is dedicated to the preservation of Shorin-Ryu Karate, Jujutsu, and Kobudo as passed down from legendary Grandmaster Eizo Shimabukuro of Okinawa, Japan.
Many of the students and instructors at Extreme Karate are highly credentialed and continue their training as advanced students under the direction of owner and head instructor Tony Penna. They always have multiple instructors on the mat and they are always eager to help and share their knowledge.
Program Cancellation Policy: Program Fees are set at a flat rate per month and will not be adjusted due to holidays, facility closures, or missed classes by the participant. If you register, but do not come at all, you are eligible for a credit upon request of the YMCA Program Director.
Intro to Karate for Kids - Summer 2025
This is a once a week, introduction to Tony Penna’s Extreme Karate program. This class is recommended for anyone trying Karate for the first time.
