Fish together with your family, hook some memories, and win awards! Reel in the morning with fishing fun at the Southington-Cheshire Community YMCA’s Family Fishing Derby.

Each adult/child that will be fishing must register online. Family Members are FREE! Parents/Family members and older siblings can register to fish, but only 3-14yos will be counted towards the awards.

Location: YMCA Camp Sloper – Start and FINish at the Sloper Store/McLeod Pavilion

Date: Saturday April 26th, 2025 (Rain Date: May 3rd)

Time: Check-In/Refreshments begins at 8:30am. Derby Rules/Expectations are at 8:45am. Derby time starts at 9:00am and ends by 11:00am.

Each child will receive a certificate for participating, but we will award winners for Most Fish Caught, Longest Fish Caught, and Shortest Fish Caught. 

All anglers must bring their own fishing pole and tackle materials. The Y will provide live worms that morning, if needed.
